  • February 7: Happy Hour with Southern Halo
    Southern Halo is the creation of a sister trio born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. Talented beyond their years, the teenage girls bring a unique sound and style to the stage. Each of the sisters bring their own unique taste to the band with Rock, Pop, Country, and Blues influences. They have become a well received popular group at festivals and venues throughout the Mississippi Delta from Clarksdale to New Orleans. Join us at Happy Hour on February 7th in the Alluvian Lobby Lounge. Special room rates available beginning at $165 this night only.
  • February 8-10th: Culinary Weekend with Chef Josh Feathers of Blackberry Farm
    An East Tennessee native who grew up with an appreciation for the region and its land, Chef Feathers understands and appreciates the flavors that the South has to offer, while adding touches of elegance he learned through his world-wide travels.   • March 7: Giardina's Blind Taste Challenge
    Whether you consider yourself a connoisseur or curious enthusiast, join us for a blind wine tasting competition at The Alluvian Hotel at 6:00 pm. Led by Josh Crump, Manager of Giardina's, participants are challenged to identify several characteristics of selected wines.     As a little boy in Philadelphia, Alon Shaya spent most of his time in the kitchen with his mother and grandmother, which instilled in him a passion for cooking.   • March 30: Viking Half Marathon

  • September 6-8th: Culinary Weekend with Chef Edward Lee & Robert Aquilino, 610 Magnolia
    Chef Edward Lee is a Korean-American who grew up in Brooklyn, trained in NYC kitchens, and has spent the better part of a decade honing his vision at 610 Magnolia restaurant in Louisville, KY. Lee's culinary style draws inspiration from his Asian heritage, his New York training, and his embrace of the American South, coupled with the best ingredients from local farms. Lee's innovative cuisine has twice earned him a finalist nomination for the James Beard Foundation Awards Best Chef: Southeast in 2011 and 2012. He has been featured in Esquire, Bon Appétit, GQ, Gourmet among many other publications; defeated Iron Chef Jose Garces on Food Network's "Iron Chef America," was a favorite on "Top Chef: Texas, Season 9"; and has appeared on Cooking Channel's "Foodography," CBS "Early Show" and NBC "The Today Show." Lee's career extends to writing credits as well, with articles published in Gastronomica, Organic Gardening, Local Palette and other journals, in addition to authoring a cookbook (Artisan Books, spring 2013) chronicling his unconventional journey from the kitchens of Brooklyn to becoming a lauded Southern chef. For this special culinary and wine weekend, Chef Lee will be joined by Robert Aquilino, Restaurant Manager & Wine Director for Lee's restaurant 610 Magnolia. At 610 Magnolia, the extensive and ever changing seasonal wine list is entrusted to Aquilino, who interprets how it will complement Chef Lee's ever changing menu. Originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil Aquilino has lived in NYC, Nantucket, San Francisco, and South Florida, working in some of the best restaurants and hotels from coast to coast. Join us to welcome both Chef Edward Lee and Wine Director Robert Aquilino for this special culinary and wine weekend.
